Miss Fisher's Room Canvas

I am still in love with Julie Nutting's rubber stamp paper dolls. One looks a lot like the character on Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, a TV show I enjoy very much. The paper doll is named Ruby and with a hair style change she turns into Miss Fisher.

Miss Fisher was colored using Copic Markers and dress in paper, lace and small flower. She is posing (adhered with soft pads) at her armoire made from a tag, a product of Julie Nutting for Prima. The tag was altered making it 3D.

The background card stock was applied with Mod Podge to the canvas. The bottom half has Mod Podge as a sealer over the top I could not apply Mod Podge to the top half of the background as it has a textured velvet print, which would have been ruined. It seems to be holding very nicely without the sealer. Washi tape was used at the top and middle of the canvas. The two background pictures are from a Graphic 45 collection. Assorted small pieces from my stash embellish the canvas and small flowers adorn one side giving a topiary look.

The canvas was great fun and I'm already planning the next one!

Come back and check my blog for another project!
