Disco Dancing!

Saturday Night Steven

Dr. Digi
Dr. Digi is the current sponsor of Classic Design Team Open DT Challenge. I chose Saturday Night Steven for my Design Team inspirational card. My choice is reminiscent of the iconic film of the disco era....Saturday Night Fever. This 1977 American dance film starred John Travolta and was directed by John Badham.

Steven is colored with Prismacolor Pencil and a Prismacolor Blender Marker, and a Gelly Roll metallic pen. The colored image was placed in the Craft Artist 2 program and merged with elements from the Graceful Dancer digikit.

I hope my fun disco card will inspire you to take part in the Classic Design Team Open DT Challenge, where anything goes.

I'm looking forward to seeing your work.

Hello Cupcake Happy Birthday Card

I finally got around to coloring this wonderful freebie by Lily of the Valley. The image is called Hello Cupcake and was given away during a Kit and Clowder special event in Mid August. In't this the perfect image to use for a young girl's birthday card?

The image was colored using Copic markers and partially cut out. I put soft pads on the back to give it a 3D look. I layered 3 sheets of scrapbook paper from The Paper Studio and popped the image on top. The lettering was cut using the Cricut Die Cutting Machine and and backed with a small piece of  card stock. It was adhered to the top of the card. I embellished the card with tiny adhesive pearls.
